BEAUTIFUL BOOK - hardback - 240 pages - 32 x 24 cm. Texts by Charles MARTINI de CHATEAUNEUF, Émile SCLAVO & Francis ZUNINO - éditions du cabri 2002. "ROQUEBRUNE- CAP MARTIN, LE TEMPS DES GENETS 1860-1940. This book describes a small community of peasants, fishermen, craftsmen...French only since 1861. A traditional society and its way of life illustrated by over 480 photographic documents and postcards. A unique documentation that shows the site, its transformations and upheavals over the decades; the arrival of tourists and crowned heads who contributed to the prosperity and fame of the place. The comments accompanying the photos are varied, ranging from well-documented historical texts to local anecdotes.
