FRANCE 1904 - postcard celebrating the TRIPLE ENTENTE ( * ). Beautiful color relief printing by E. Fourault. Decorated with an olive branch in soft green, to which a tricolor ribbon is applied, bringing together 4 bells bearing the arms of the signatory nations, with the legend: Leur carillon sème l'espoir, leur union assure la victoire. - NEW CARD. ( * ) TRIPLE ENTENTE: military alliance of France, the United Kingdom and the Russian Empire. These allies, opposed to the TRIPLE ALLIANCE or TRIPLICE between Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy, agreed to help each other in the event of conflict. In 1893, there was the Franco-Russian alliance, reinforced in 1904 by the ENTENTE CORDIALE between France and the United Kingdom.
