LE PUY EN VELAY (43) - THREE 19th century PHOTOGRAPHS, business card size: - portrait of a man, circa 1860, by SABATIER, photographer in Le Puy, the only representative of the Pantheon of the Imperial Order of the Legion of Honor for the Haute Loire department " (*) - baby portrait, circa 1875 / 80, by SABATIER, photographie artistique du Velay, HENRY successeur 11 place du Breuil, succursale cité Avinenc au Puy (*). - circa 1880/90, Notre Dame du Puy, by GEORGES 17 place du Breuil. ( * ) Joseph SABATIER, Penot's 1st photographer in 1856. Initially based at Place Michelet, he later opened his studio at 11 Place du Breuil. After his sudden death in 1869, his widow took over the business before selling to Alphonse & Beluche. From 1875 to 1881, Henri Garllier, alias HENRY, took over from Sabatier.
