"NIORT HOSPITAL, THE 20th CENTURY IN PICTURES".
Documents and testimonials bring to life the near past of the Niort hospital, a huge enclave always on the move, a veritable anthill - There are also official texts concerning the creation or allocation of various buildings well before the 20th century, postcards from the 1914-18 war, photos... Life and work, with their joys and anxieties, shine through, as in this 1944 calendar in which an employee recorded, day and night, the alerts and bombings.
Over 400 captioned documents, with commentary, set in their historical and professional context - the origins of the hospital, the Sisters of Wisdom, the wars, Sana, the nursing school, etc. etc. etc.
160 pages 24.5 x 30 cm -- Hardcover + dust jacket in slipcase.
