Postcard, Oudaya prison gate, with English postage stamps overprinted "MOROCCO AGENCIES 10 CENTIMOS" (36), date stamp TRESOR et POSTES AUX ARMÉES RABAT November 18, 1911 + PAIR Germania stamps "MOROKKO 3 CENTIMOS" (45 x 2), date stamp postes chérifiennes November 5, 1911. On the reverse, interesting correspondence from a French soldier about the fighting: "I'm going back to France / to tell you everything I've seen during the campaigns / it's very sad / we'll talk about it when I get home. It costs many men their lives / here's the number of soldiers who died during the campaign, 1,200 / the figure given on September 1, 1911. There must be 700 colonials, 51 from my battalion... etc...
