First Coins - LES HANDA dîtes CROISETTES DU KATANGA. Rare series of 4 coins, 4 copper crosses, beautiful green patina; unusual small sizes of 12 mm (0.6 g) - 15 mm (1.3 g) - 30 mm (9.1 g) - 55 mm (28.7 g). These H-shaped crosses were used in trade. They are found in burials from the 14th to the 16th century, during which time they were used. A cross paid for six chickens, a goat was worth six crosses, a rifle ten, a wife six crosses... (according to Robert Victor).
