Reverse: large crowned "L" between 2 fleur-de-lys LIARD.DE.FRANCE. .16 A 54. (dot before and dot after 1654); according to Mr. G. Crépin's specialized catalog n° C2G 14 type 2 a1, only 17 examples found. NOTE: Liard only struck in Corbeil (A) for 1654 and Bordeaux (K) for 1656. Rarity index R 3 (according to Droulers, only 5,200 pieces were minted in Corbeil, for Bordeaux, the only known example is in the Cabinet des Médailles) - TTB
