FRANCE MARSEILLE 1996 - FAKE STAMP TO DECEIVE THE POST OFFICE. Fake Marianne stamp by Briat, perforated and permanently valid (no. 2806). These stamps were in circulation from October to December 1996: 4 counterfeiters arrested in Marseille - See article in the March 1997 issue of Timbroscopie. Letter traveled for Reader's Digest / Yvelines from Marseille 11 Bd St Marcel. Particularly well imitated forgery with phosphor strips - C.A.D. November 19.
