STAMPS ON FRAGMENTS - SEALED KILOS from the JAPANESE GOVERNMENT. In the 70s and 80s, when their stamps were demonetized, the Japanese postal service glued unsold stamps to sheets of paper to keep track of them, then cancelled them. These stamp-covered sheets were then placed in a box, which was sealed as soon as it was full with an official sealing strip. These 30 x 39.5 cm, 8 cm thick cartons therefore contain thousands (20,000 / 25,000...) of stamps in multiples - small and large commemorative formats mixed together. > SEALED CARDBOARD 3,700 kilos of official Nippon Post scraps.
